Time Out review Sting's recent Hong Kong concert...
The man’s still got it. That is, that intangible factor that separates regular musicians from living legends. Long ago, the man born Gordon Sumner cemented his superstar status by amassing one hit after another in a career that has spanned decades. And even after taking a long sabbatical from his rock persona - choosing to pursue symphonic and new-age projects in his time - at the HKCEC in his return to Hong Kong with his Back to Bass tour, Sting showed that, after all this time, yes... he's still got it. Pulling the expected double duty of singer and bassist, he performed a host of his classic monstrous hits permanently etched in our brains both from his early days with The Police and as a solo artist. Backed by a five-piece band, including a rocking violinist, he kicked off the night with 'If I Ever Lose My Faith In You' and 'Every Little Thing She Does is Magic', followed by an all-hit roster stuffed with tunes that have stood the test of time...

"Legendary Singer Stings Beirut Audience" reports the Lebanon's Daily Star...

The musician, songwriter and singer took over the Beirut stage with his band for more than two hours. For one night only and for the second time in Beirut, Sting performed some of his greatest tunes. The venue echoed with 'Message in a Bottle', 'Roxanne', 'End of the Game', and 'Hounds of Winter'. With the first notes of 'Englishman in New York', the audience hailed and began singing along with the chorus - which appeared to make the star emotional. Sting 'not nostalgic' as world tour hits final stretch...
Sting may be celebrating 25 years in music, but the one-time "Police" frontman hates to look back, he told AFP on the final stretch of a year-long tour that wraps up in Asia in December. "I'm not a very nostalgic person. It's just not in my nature," the singer said in an email interview, before arriving in France this week for the latest leg in the "Back to Bass" tour, launched in 2011. Once the tour is over - the last programmed date is in Jakarta on December 15, final stop after half a dozen Asian gigs - Sting intends to move on. The date fans may purchase or exchange their tickets for Sting's concert in Manila, Philippines on December 9, 2012 at the Araneta Coliseum has been changed to Wednesday, October 31. Beginning October 31, fans who had purchased a ticket for the concert previously scheduled at the SM Mall of Asia Arena may exchange their tickets at a special window at the Ticketnet Office located at the Araneta Coliseum. Tickets may be exchanged leading up to and including show date, though we recommend this be done in advance to avoid lengthy queues. Those who purchased a reserved ticket will receive a reserved ticket for the performance at the Araneta Coliseum. Reserved seat tickets have been carefully reassigned so that fans with a reserved ticket at the MOAA will receive a comparable reserved ticket in the new venue. Local promoters Ovation Productions confirmed today that the Sting: Back to Bass concert previously scheduled at the Mall of Asia Arena will now be held at the Araneta Coliseum. There is no change to the show date, which remains Sunday, December 9th, 2012. Tickets may be exchanged beginning October 25, 2012. Fans who had previously purchased a reserved seat ticket will receive a reserved ticket for the new venue. Reserved seat tickets have been carefully reassigned so that fans that had a reserved ticket at the MOAA will receive a comparable reserved ticket in the new venue. Beginning Thursday, October 25th there will be a special window at the Ticketnet Office located at the Araneta Coliseum that will handle all ticket exchanges.
